By accessing and using Home Tutor’s online tutoring services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

Home Tutor provides online tutoring services through Zoom video conferencing platform. Our services include:

• One-on-one tutoring sessions via Zoom
• Group tutoring sessions (when applicable)
• Educational materials and resources
• Session scheduling and management
• Progress tracking and reporting

3. User Responsibilities

Students and Parents Must:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the confidentiality of account credentials
• Ensure reliable internet connection and appropriate device for Zoom sessions
• Attend scheduled sessions punctually and prepared
• Treat tutors and staff with respect and professionalism
• Follow our code of conduct during all interactions

Prohibited Activities:

• Recording sessions without explicit permission
• Sharing account access with unauthorized individuals
• Using the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
• Attempting to circumvent payment systems

4. Payment Terms

Payment Methods:

• Credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
• PayPal
• Bank transfers (for package purchases)

Late Payments:

• Services may be suspended for accounts with overdue payments
• A $25 late fee may be applied to overdue accounts
• Continued non-payment may result in account termination

5. Scheduling and Cancellations

Session Scheduling:

• Sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance
• Tutors’ availability varies and is subject to change
• We’ll make reasonable efforts to accommodate scheduling preferences

Cancellation Policy:

• 24+ hours notice: Full refund or free rescheduling
• 12-24 hours notice: Partial refund or rescheduling fee applies
• Less than 12 hours: No refund, rescheduling fee applies
• No-shows: Full charge with no makeup session

6. Zoom Platform Usage

Our tutoring sessions are conducted via Zoom. By using our services, you also agree to:

• Zoom’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• Maintain appropriate behavior during video sessions
• Ensure your device meets Zoom’s technical requirements
• Allow session recordings when requested for quality assurance

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content:

• All educational materials, curricula, and resources remain our property
• Students may use materials for personal educational purposes only
• Redistribution or commercial use of our materials is prohibited

Student Work:

• Students retain ownership of their original work and assignments
• We may use anonymized student work for educational improvement
• Session recordings are used solely for educational and quality purposes

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

• We collect only necessary information for service delivery
• Student data is protected according to applicable privacy laws
• Session recordings are stored securely and deleted after retention period
• We do not sell or share personal information with third parties

9. Limitation of Liability

Home Tutor provides educational support services. We make no guarantees regarding:

• Specific academic outcomes or grade improvements
• Admission to specific schools or programs
• Standardized test score improvements
• Uninterrupted or error-free service delivery

10. Termination

By You:

• You may terminate your account at any time
• Refunds for unused services subject to our refund policy
• Access to materials ends upon account termination

By Us:

• We may terminate accounts for violation of these terms
• Non-payment or fraudulent activity may result in immediate termination
• We’ll provide reasonable notice except in cases of serious violations

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
