1. Our Commitment
At Home Tutor, we are committed to providing high-quality online tutoring services through Zoom. We understand that sometimes circumstances change, and we strive to be fair and flexible with our refund policy while maintaining the integrity of our service.
2. Session-Based Refunds
24-Hour Cancellation Policy
Sessions cancelled at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund or can be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Cancellation Timeframes:
- 24+ hours before session: Full refund or free rescheduling
- 12-24 hours before session: 50% refund or rescheduling with $10 fee
- Less than 12 hours: No refund, but may reschedule with $15 fee
- No-show: No refund or rescheduling option
3. Package and Subscription Refunds
Multi-Session Packages:
- Unused sessions in packages can be refunded within 30 days of purchase
- Refund amount is calculated based on individual session rates minus a 10% processing fee
- At least 50% of the package must remain unused to qualify for refund
Monthly Subscriptions:
- Cancel anytime before the next billing cycle
- No refunds for partial months already billed
- Unused sessions expire at the end of the billing period
4. Technical Issues
We understand that technical difficulties can sometimes disrupt Zoom sessions. In such cases:
- Sessions disrupted by technical issues on our end receive full credit
- If technical problems persist for more than 15 minutes, full refund is provided
- Student-side technical issues may qualify for partial credit at our discretion
- We provide technical support to minimize disruptions
5. Satisfaction Guarantee
First Session Guarantee
If you’re not satisfied with your first tutoring session, we’ll provide a full refund or match you with a different tutor at no additional cost.
For ongoing sessions, if you’re not satisfied with the quality of tutoring:
- Contact us within 48 hours of the session
- We’ll investigate and work to resolve the issue
- Options include tutor replacement, session credit, or partial refund
6. Refund Process
How to Request a Refund:
- Contact our support team via email or phone
- Provide your account information and reason for refund
- We’ll review your request within 2 business days
- Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
Processing Times:
- Credit cards: 3-5 business days
- PayPal: 1-2 business days
- Bank transfers: 5-7 business days
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Completed tutoring sessions (unless covered by satisfaction guarantee)
- Digital materials and resources already accessed
- Administrative fees and processing charges
- Sessions missed due to student no-shows
8. Emergency Situations
We understand that emergencies happen. In cases of:
- Medical emergencies
- Family emergencies
- Natural disasters
- Other extraordinary circumstances
We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a fair solution, which may include full refunds, credits, or extended scheduling flexibility.
